Huge Pink Floyd reissue programme kicks off in September

Why Pink Floyd? No, it's not a question, it's the name of the Pink Floyd album reissue programme that kicks off in September.

Apparently, all (14) albums will be reissued in remastered form, commencing on September 26th, with 'special' and 'deluxe' editions of the classic Dark Side of the Moon arriving too, along with a mysterious 'Immersion' box set and a two-disc 'Experience' box. There's also digital and vinyl versions of the albums. Yes, squeezing out every penny.

Music Beta by Google officially launches - invites now open

It's been a while since we all battled for some kind of Google invite, so it's good of the company to acknowledge that and introduce the invite-only Music Beta by Google.

In truth, it doesn't sound all that right now, so we're not too upset that it's only available for US folk right now. Essentially it allows you to store 20,000 songs in 'the cloud', with the option to access all those tunes wherever you are in the world.
